What do you enjoy most about your job?

Right now running the Blarney Stone Pub is challenging, but thanks so much to the Eastern Shore Community, the residents of Onancock, and surrounding areas for being so supportive of the businesses within the town and especially supportive of the Blarney Stone Pub staff. It is so warming to see and be able to respond to the kindness of the community to keep businesses operational and for patrons to enjoy an evening out with family and friends. We believe the Pub is working very hard to not only keep patrons safe, but to provide them a very enjoyable dining out experience during these challenging times.

What does the Chamber mean to the Blarney Stone Pub?

The mission statement of the ESVA Chamber says it all “to serve, promote, and connect the businesses and communities of the Eastern Shore” and the ESVA Chamber does it very well. By linking the Tourism Commission to the ESVA Chamber the vitality and promotion of shore businesses and activities could not be better. The ESVA Chamber aggressively works to connect and promote businesses for everyone’s success.

Favorite Feature of ESVA Chamber?

The Chamber does a very good job of bringing community and businesses together with events like Eggs and Issues, as well as the educational offerings. The events that are hosted and promoted by the ESVA Chamber bring others to the shore and encourages them to enjoy the beauty, hospitality and events of the shore.

Biggest Dream?

Continued success and for friends, neighbors, and visitors to not only enjoy the Blarney Stone Pub but the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Best Piece of Advice?

Continue to meet the expectations of friends, neighbors, and visitors and they will continue to come and visit and experience the Pub and the Eastern Shore.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I especially enjoy meeting people and building relationships with my clients, providing them a means of protecting their investments whether it’s a business or a home. Educating people with the policy language and how it’s designed to help them at the time of a loss.

What does being a Chamber member mean to you?

It means I’m connected to the business community, where together we can give back, develop resources and training to build the local economy.

What is your favorite feature of the ESVA?

I thoroughly enjoy the seafood, small-town collaboration, and of course the ocean.

What is your biggest dream?

I’ve always wanted to have a Shelter for Abused Women & Children. A farm on the water where women and children are free to be themselves and live in a place where fear doesn’t exist.
