Networking

Monthly Networking Events include “Business After Hours”, “Business Before Hours”, and Chamber “Power Lunch Networking Events”. Members are invited to attend these events and also offered the opportunity to host at your place of business. Other events include our Annual Awards Dinner, Educational Seminars, Ribbon Cuttings and Committee Projects. Learn More.

Marketing

The Chamber supports and recommends its members to the public by:

• Promotion on the Chamber Website’s Business Directory

• E-Mail Blast: For a nominal fee, the Chamber will email your communication to our distribution list, post it through social media and announce it on Chamber Chat radio show on WESR 103.3FM.

• Digital Marketing: For a nominal fee, the Chamber will create digital advertising for your business through Google Ads. Email Marketing and Membership Director Sarah Barban at marketing@esvachamber.org to learn more.

• Business in the Spotlight: Each month, the Chamber highlights a different member through a lobby table display, a website feature, social media recognition, radio ad and e-blast.

• Brochure/Business Card Display: The Chamber hosts many visitors daily within its building, lobby and two meeting rooms. As a member we welcome you to display your brochures and business cards in the Chamber lobby

• Essentials Magazine: 20,000 issues of this magazine are distributed throughout the region annually. As a member, you also have approval to use the Essentials Electronic Flipbook version directly on your website. Listings and advertising opportunities for members only. Advertisers in Essentials also receive a complimentary ad in the Chamber Business Directory.

• Business Directory: As a member, your contact information is listed in our Business Directory both alphabetically and categorically. The directory is distributed to our members only, as a value added benefit.

• Social Media: Like our Facebook page and follow us on Instagram to keep up to date on news from the Chamber and our members. Members have the opportunity for chamber promotion of their events and activities on these channels. Members also have permission to tag the Chamber in their posts and utilize Chamber hashtags to broaden member exposure through social media. Use #esvachamber, #esvachamberevents, #ShopESVA and #BuyESVA.

• Sponsorship Opportunities: As a member, you have the opportunity to become a sponsor of major Chamber community events, such as Le Tour de Shore and Shore Fest - a great way to gain invaluable exposure.

Advocacy

The Chamber partners with other chambers and various agencies on projects of interest to citizens and businesses. 

These include, but are not limited to: Virginia Chamber of Commerce, Virginia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce, Northampton County Chamber of Commerce, County of Accomack, County of Northampton, ESVA Tourism Commission, Wallops Flight Facility/NASA, Accomack County Schools Career & Technical Education Committee, ES Community College, Hampton Roads Regional Chamber Alliance and various towns’ business and citizens organizations.

We also provide opportunities to interact with local and state representatives through Representation at Chamber Day at the Capitol and through our Eggs & Issues Breakfasts which occur before and after key legislative sessions.
